Our Ayam cemani are the true showstoppers here at Sugar Sky Farms and one of our most requested breeds. Solid black bodies, trim forms, lustrous iridescent feathers and sweet personalities make them a favorite of many. Our Ayam Cemani are bred to the current standard of perfection for the breed and we carefully select only the best of the breed to be in our breeding program.
Our Ayam Cemani chicks are hatched from our beautiful high fertility flocks and are bred to the current Standard of Perfection. Our Ayam Cemani have great fibro presentation and we take great pride in their quality. Please note, this is a high cull breed. Culls are always possible and we are unable to guarantee your chicks will be show or exhibition quality. We can assure you that we do use our best breeding practices to decrease the odds of flawed and/or pet quality birds.

Wait times vary depending on current orders, laying habits etc. By purchasing, you agree to be placed on a waitlist and the policies of our waitlist even if you choose not to read them.
If you have purchased chicks, you will receive an email when your chicks are ready for pickup. You must schedule a pickup day and time with us prior to picking up your chicks. Chick pickups are by appointment only. After you receive an email stating your chicks are ready for pickup, please email us to schedule your pickup appointment.

ORDER PICKUP POLICY
All orders and chicks MUST be picked up within 7 days of ready for pickup notification. Failure to pick up your chick order in a timely manner will result in cancelation of your order and no refunds will be given. We will not hold chicks for weeks and raise them for you. We realize things do come up and this is not always possible, so we try to be as flexible as possible, but we will not hold chicks outside of the 7 day pickup window unless prior arrangements have been made. Hatching eggs should be picked up within 48 hours of receipt of ready for pickup notification.
CANCELATION POLICY
No cancellations or refunds will be given after 48 hours of purchase on all hatching eggs, chicks and live birds including waitlist orders. By purchasing, you agree to this policy.
CHICK SEXING
All chicks are straight run (unsexed) unless otherwise noted. Most breeds cannot be sexed until they are a few months old. We cannot guarantee sex of the chicks you receive. You will not be compensated or refunded for any roosters in your chick order. Straight run means straight run; unsexed birds. It is your job to plan accordingly.
MINIMUM ORDER
Two chick minimum. Chickens are flock animals and are best raised in flocks. Due to this, we have a minimum order policy of at least two chicks. All orders for less than two chicks will be canceled. You may purchase any combination of available breeds.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
Our chicks do not leave our care for several days after hatching for their health and safety. All chicks are placed in a brooder and eating and drinking for several days before they go to their new homes so we can be sure they are healthy and strong enough for their trip to their new homes. Once chicks leave our care, we are not liable for any ill or deceased birds. No refunds or replacements will be given. We do not replace or refund birds out of our care.
WE DO NOT SHIP LIVE CHICKS
Our chicks are pickup only and we do not ship. Shipping delays, rough handling and bad weather conditions can be deadly to our chicks and we will not take that risk with an animal’s life. Please make sure you can pick up your chicks before placing your order. We will not ship them. By purchasing live chicks, you agree to our pickup only policy.
Our chicks are not vaccinated and we do not feed medicated chick starter. All of our chicks are started on Kalmbach Feeds Non-medicated Chick Stater. Please be sure you are familiar with caring for chicks, heat requirements etc before purchasing.
All of our chicks leave our farm healthy and will be already started on food and water. We are not liable for ill or deceased chicks once they leave our farm and they are in your care. Replacements and refunds will not be given.
RESALE POLICY
Sugar Sky Farms LLC reserves the right to refuse sale to customers who intend to resell our hatching eggs, chicks and birds. We do not sell to resellers or hatcheries.
DENIAL OF SALE POLICY
Sugar Sky Farms reserves the right to deny sale to any individual or company without explanation.
