SUGAR SKY FARMS IS OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All chicks and hatching eggs pickups are by appointment only. You must contact us prior to pickup to arrange a pickup day and time.
SHIPPED HATCHING EGGS POLICY
There are NO guarantees with shipped eggs. Once eggs are out our hands, shipping and incubation conditions are out of our control. We will not be held responsible for poor development and hatch rates on shipped eggs. No replacements or refunds will be given.
Once eggs have been incubated, it is impossible to tell if they were fertile or not. Once incubated for a few days, the "bullseye" of the blastocyst breaks down and is no longer visible. Rough handling during shipping, cold temperatures and hot temperatures can harm the blastocysts and make the eggs unhatchable.
We check our flocks fertility weekly and only ship fresh eggs that are no more than 2 days old to ensure on our end that you receive high fertility eggs and a great hatch. We ship all of our hatching egg in custom foam mailers with protective materials and also double box. Great care is given to your eggs at our farm to ensure your eggs arrive in the best condition possible.
Eggs ship via UPS, USPS Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express, depending on your choice of shipment.
We cannot guarantee how our eggs will be treated and handled while they’re in transit nor can we guarantee delivery within a specified time after the eggs are shipped. Extreme temperatures, low air pressure in airplanes, rough handling, delays in transit and delivery, and X-ray machines can all affect the hatch rate of eggs. We do label boxes with important information stating the shipment is live contents and hatching eggs in hopes of good handling and care by USPS and UPS. We also cannot control the conditions under which you incubate the eggs. FOR THESE REASONS WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE HATCH-ABILITY OF THE HATCHING EGGS WE SHIP. If you cannot accept and agree to these terms, please do not purchase.

HATCHING EGGS DAMAGES & LOSS
Purchasing shipped eggs is a risk. Please read our policy on damages and lost packages below before purchasing. By purchasing, you agree to the following:
We do NOT refund or offer replacements due to lost, delayed or damaged packages.
Please inspect your order upon reception. Please open your shipment upon receipt and inspect all eggs in your shipment.
To report damaged eggs or a lost package, please contact us at Hello@sugarskyfarms.com. We will need not only pictures, but video of both the outer and inner box within 24 hours of receipt of package.
You will also need to file a claim with UPS. All shipments are shipped with insurance. Please contact UPS at 1-800-742-5877 or file a claim online on the UPS website. UPS often does not approve claims on perishable items like eggs. We cannot guarantee your claim will be approved.
Refunds and replacements will be at the discretion of Sugar Sky Farms after receipt of photos and after a claim has been filed with UPS. You must file a claim with UPS prior to any replacements being shipped.

FARM STAND
Our farm stand is open daily from 8 am - 8 pm. Farm stand products are self-serve and can be picked up at any time. Payment may be made via cash, Venmo @SugarSkyFarms or purchased directly through the website on the Farm Stand link. Please note, during severe and freezing weather conditions, your order will be placed at the farm stand at the desired pickup day and time to prevent your eggs & products from freezing.
CHICKS
CHICK SEXING
All chicks are straight run unless otherwise noted. Most breeds cannot be sexed until they are a few months old. Sexing can only be done at hatch by DNA testing or vent sexing. We do not vent sex our chicks due to the associated risks. We cannot guarantee sex of the chicks you receive.
CHICK ORDERS & PREORDERS
If you have purchased chicks or a chick preorder for a future hatch date, you will receive an email when your chicks are ready for pickup. You must schedule a pickup day and time with us prior to picking up your chicks. Chick pickups are by appointment only. After you receive an email stating your chicks are ready for pickup, please email, call or text us to schedule your pickup appointment.

CANCELLATION POLICY
MINIMUM ORDER
Two chick minimum. Chickens are flock animals and are best raised in flocks. Due to this, we have a minimum order policy of at least two chicks. All orders for less than two chicks will be canceled. You may purchase any combination of available breeds.
WE DO NOT SHIP LIVE CHICKS
Our chicks are pickup only and we do not ship. Shipping delays, rough handling and bad weather conditions can be deadly to our chicks and we will not take that risk with an animal’s life. Please make sure you can pick up your chicks before placing your order. We will not ship them. By purchasing live chicks, you agree to our pickup only policy.
Our chicks are not vaccinated and we do not feed medicated chick starter. All of our chicks are started on Kalmbach Feeds Non-medicated Chick Stater. Please be sure you are familiar with caring for chicks, heat requirements etc before purchasing.
All of our chicks leave our farm healthy and will be already started on food and water. We are not liable for ill or deceased chicks once they leave our farm and they are in your care. Replacements and refunds will not be given.
